The Mexican company Difraxion installed in American Axle and Manufacturing, an integral solution of digital signage that included interactive kiosks and video wall.

DSLatam

American Axle and Manufacturing, AAM, is an international manufacturer of Axles and Automotive Transmissions for major brands in the world such as GM, Chrysler, Nissan and Ford. In Mexico with more than 7000 Collaborators and at least 7 plants distributed in different industrial parks in Silao, Guanajuato, the communication and interaction challenge is enormous to achieve the cohesion and corporate culture that characterizes it.

The company identified that one of its challenges was to raise the level of information received by employees regarding internal campaigns, events, courses, training and urgent notifications, triggering greater participation and commitment, resulting in higher productivity and less staff turnover.

To resolve this situation, the company appointed the integrator Difraxion, the most representative company in the state of Guanajuato within the Digital Signage industry and a member of the Digital Signage Latin America Association. He is a specialist in providing digital signage solutions, from the creation and production of content to the implementation of specialized HD and SW.

The integrated solution
The project was divided into two phases, the first was to create an internal TV program where information of interest for collaborators, recognitions, events, news, among others, is displayed.

This program was deployed in Screens installed in the 7 main Comedores of the plant, through 7 CAYIN SMP-2100 players, each updated from a server in the cloud CAYIN Cloud. The Internal Communication department, in a centralized way, updates the information and is automatically distributed to the different points.

As a second phase, an interactive application was developed with more detailed information on transportation routes, specific calendars for courses and events, as well as information on training and communication campaigns for each plant.

This application is deployed in 7 Interactive Touch Kiosks also powered by a CAYIN SMP-2100 player which deploys the HTML5 application providing the ability to display ads while the interactive part is not used. This application is centrally managed by different areas of the company according to the content.

Finally, an 4 Videowall 49 Screens "was installed inside the main room where key meetings of the company are held. The screens are powered by a CAYIN SMP-8000QD player, which has the ability to feed 4 screens and create various specialized combinations for "Videowall".

Results
American Axle and Manufacturing has managed to consolidate this solution within the company, mainly due to the level of stability and scarce need for support, but primarily thanks to the possibility of being administered individually by the information generating areas.

The company has had positive opinions within the highest levels of the organization and is currently planning an 3er stage that could involve more screens in various areas of the plants.

DSLatam participated in Digital Signage Expo 2018

As every year, the Digital Signage Expo was held in Las Vegas, where we could appreciate "the latest fashion craze" in terms of digital signage solutions, screens, montages, video walls and even augmented reality holographic panels filled the showroom.

Of course, the association of digital signage can not be left behind, participating with the Pavilion of Mexico and Latin America, presenting lectures entirely in Spanish for all Latino visitors, addressing issues that surely caused an impact or helped to resolve doubts among the people who want install or already have a DS network.

This year's speakers were Joaquim Lopes (4YouSee), Luis María González (Digital Convergence), Oscar Cabrera (Motion ADS), Germán Robles (KOLO) and Jorge Sánchez (Corporate Multimedia), who are experts in the DS environment, and They are also part of the DSLatam partners. They offered a quality exhibition, resolving doubts and participating with the assistants.

To close, we had the participation of all the speakers together with the President of DSLatam, Federico Freyria, Ryan Cahoy and Stephanie Gutnik (DSF) in a panel discussion about the future of the Digital Signage in Latin America.

It should be noted that our Daktronics partner this year was the winner of the gold medal of the Evené and Hospitality Awards DSE 2018 of the APEX Awards, for its remarkable installation in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
