Colombia. The Hilton hotel chain opened the doors of its new Hilton Bogotá Corferias hotel in April 4 as part of the Corferias 2019 project, which aims to create a "fair and convention district" to serve the Colombian and Latin American market, adding 2030 m² between the eight rooms and the foyer for holding conferences, trade shows and celebrations.

"The design of the hotel is inspired by the well-known legend of El Dorado and the moors of the Colombian territory," comments Miguel Eugene, General Manager of the Hilton Bogotá Corferias, who explains that each room has a name that evokes nature. The main room, Bosque, has an area of 540 m² and capacity for 720 people, which can be divided into three independent spaces.

In turn, Sara Arandia, project coordinator for the hotel company RLA-SAV Rental, explains that all the rooms have integrated Bose audio systems, and Shure microphones. In particular, the main hall has "Laser Epson projectors 8.000 lumens and capacity for closed circuit television and streaming systems," he says, adding that the hotel has "the advantage of everything necessary for a large event magnitude is already installed in the room. However, the space also admits more elaborate facilities such as the one we saw at the inauguration "that was held at the 9 in April of this year.

For this event in particular, RLA-SAV made the assembly of 297 Absen LED display modules that "was not located in a flat way but at an angle, since the purpose was to make a mapping of the Hilton building", added to another mapping on the side of the living room with two projectors of 12.000 4K Epson laser lumens, and Watchout and Millumin projection systems.

With the opening of this hotel, located on the grounds of Corferias, the offer of space for events and conventions is complemented with the 410 rooms for executive accommodation. Andrés López Valderrama, president of the Fairs Corporation, points out that the Hilton's 41.000 m² are added to the 360.000 m² of Corferias and the nearby Ágora Bogotá Convention Center, with 42.000 m², for a total of 1,8 hectares of fairgrounds.
