The Google and Asus companies announced that soon will be released the new Chromebit, a kind of flash drive that connects to any screen with HDMI port for example the television and turns it into a computer.

The device works with Chrome OS, the operating system of Google. It consists of an ARM Cortex-A17 quad-core, GPU Mali 760, 2GB of RAM, 16GB storage, USB connection 2.0 processor and peripherals such as a keyboard or mouse via Bluetooth.

The Chromebit, which will cost about a hundred dollars, provides the same features as a PC low power, need not be connected to recharge and also has a flexible head, ideal for those TVs that do not have an HDMI port on the side.

"With simply connect the device to any screen you can turn on a computer. It is the perfect complement to a desktop PC and will be really useful for schools and businesses," they noted from Google.

The company also mentioned that Chromebit can be an ideal solution for travel, providing access to a personal computer safely, whether in a hotel or Internet cafe. The accessory also compete with the various "boxes" that offer convert a traditional TV into a smart, giving internet access and other functions.

One of those competing products would be the Intel Compute Stick, a device the chipmaker announced earlier this year that also is a fixture in the form of flash drive. When connected, the Intel Compute Stick starts to run Windows on any screen.
